Server log files

When you open this website, our server records the data your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This is technically necessary to deliver the site and to detect and defend against attacks.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation. Log entries are deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless a security incident requires longer retention.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. It writes exactly one value to your browser’s local storage, and only if you ask it to: your choice of light or dark mode, so the site opens the way you left it. Until you use the toggle, nothing is stored at all.

That value never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us and not readable by third parties. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Fonts

The Inter typeface is hosted on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider is established, and no data is transmitted to third parties when the page loads.

Analytics and advertising

We use none. There is no web analytics, no conversion tracking, no advertising pixel and no profiling of any kind on this website.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your address and the content of your message in order to answer it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep the correspondence for as long as it is needed, and longer only where statutory retention periods apply.

External links

This website links to external services, among them events platforms, the newsletter operated by neob.ai, and social networks. Following such a link takes you to a third party, and their privacy notices apply from that point. We transmit no data to them beforehand.

Events

Registration for our events usually takes place on external platforms; the operator of the platform is the controller for that step. Photographs and recordings are often made at events. We announce this on site and respect objections. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in documenting and communicating our work.

Recipients and transfers

The website is hosted on a server operated in the EU on our behalf. Data is not transferred to countries outside the EU or EEA.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise them, write to office@neob.ai.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.

Changes

If we add functions that process personal data differently, we will update this policy before those functions go live.
